A Few Things People Ask
How long does a commission take?
Most commissions take around 2–3 weeks from when we agree the design, though it can vary depending on how detailed the piece is and how busy the kiln is that month. We'll always give you a realistic timeframe before you commit.
How are pieces packaged for delivery?
Every piece is wrapped by hand with plenty of padding and sent in sturdy boxes — glass is fragile, so we take our time with this bit. If you're local, you're welcome to collect from the Sherborne shop instead.
How does the memorial glass process work?
You send us a small amount of ashes (we'll tell you exactly how much and how to package it safely), and we fuse them into the glass alongside your chosen colours and design. Every piece is made individually, with care, and we're always happy to talk you through each step.
Can I visit the studio?
Absolutely — we're at 35 Cheap Street, Sherborne, Monday to Saturday, 9am–5pm (closed Sundays). Pop in and say hello, or get in touch first if you'd like to chat through a commission in person.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes, we work with a small number of independent shops and stockists. If you're interested in stocking Shelden Glass, use the 'Wholesale & stockist' option above and tell us a bit about your shop.
